Royal Envoy is a classic resource management game. In fact, it is simply hands-down one of the best (as in the top three!). Royal Envoy was released in 2010, but still holds up against the many other games in its genre. It is a game that I use as a comparison to all other resource management games.
Recently, we at Casual Game Guides realized that we had missed publishing a guide for this outstanding game. We played the Collector's Edition when Royal Envoy was released and since it had a built-in guide, we went on to other things. However, Royal Envoy has had such staying power, and has even renewed its popularity with the recent release of Royal Envoy 2, that we felt this guide was absolutely necessary. Oh, yeah, and it also helped that I absolutely HAD to play it again because I love the game so much.
Simply stated, if you haven't played Royal Envoy yet, and you like this genre, then you have completely missed out on one of the best games ever. Unique to this game (and not even Royal Envoy 2) is the availability of workers AND tax collectors. Workers only do the building and clearing, basically any work. Tax collectors collect rent, make market trades, and negotiate with bandits. This twist makes it a bit more difficult to navigate this game within expert times.
But not anymore! Here is the walkthrough I put together to help you solve every level in expert time. In addition to providing you with build order and the like, it also provides you with the information for how many and which type of personnel to hire. Hope you enjoy it!
