Game Review: Magic Encyclopedia
Hello? Is there anyone there? I can barely see the words I’m typing cause I’m been squinting just inches from my computer screen trying to find these darn pieces to the Magic Encyclopedia game. Judging by my poor performance, there’s a good chance glasses may be in my near future. Lol. Seriously though this game frustrated me, which as you all know means I can’t stop playing it till I win! It was great in the beginning of each board. I find all the easy pieces first, but it’s those elusive couple of pieces that bother me!
Wait. If you haven’t played the game, you have no idea what I’m talking about do you? OK, here’s the deal. You play a young girl named Katrina, and just like me on the weekends, she’s looking to put off studying as long as possible. Lucky for her, her brother Roger sends her a message that his magic professor Fobros has gone missing… cue the dramatic music! Anyhow after careful deliberation… study… adventure… study adventure… you responsibly choose adventure! That a girl!
So you journey through the game by going to different scenes and finding pieces of artifacts that will help you along the way. It’s easy peasy at first… you find all of the things you need in that room. Then it starts getting tricky by making you go forward to one room, then back to another. This whole time you are looking for the peace gem, which can apparently help stop your professor from turning into a werewolf… hmmm where have I heard this plot before… it sounds familiar. Oh well, anyhow… it’s tons of frustrating and satisfying fun that’s kept me busy for quite some time. Although, I admit if it weren’t for that little hint button I would not be as far as I am in the game.
So gamers, talk to me. If you've played, how far have you gotten? And am I the only one that needs hints??? Well… am I??!!
