If you like really cute animals, The Sims and playing games like Bejeweled, you’ll love this game. You have to build and maintain grandpa’s zoo. Buy animals, build concessions and don’t forget to place and trash bins. Play the match game (similar to Bejeweled) to earn cash, food, materials, zoo points and research. There are tons of bonuses and power ups. Take the time to learn what each does and how they can best help you.

There are also secret codes hidden throughout the game. Anywhere you see text, jot it down. It could be a code for something. If you don’t want to find them on your own, take a look below. I found that you can only use them once. Unfortunately you cannot reuse the +1000 money code for unlimited money.

Hints & Tips:

• You can play the match game with or without a timer. If you get distracted by phone calls, emails or snacking, it might be best to play untimed mode. Also another bonus of playing in untimed mode, you can get easy money. You have to reach a goal. If you forget about meeting that goal and just focus on making matches of 4 strings or more, you will earn more power ups and extras than if you just match and try to complete your goals ASAP.
• Don’t forget that you can move pieces diagonally. This is very helpful for making long strings. It takes some getting used to, but one you learn to see the diagonal move, you’ll love it.
• The zoo visitors have lots to say. They are your customers. Keep them happy. If they want to see a camel or say there are not enough trash bins, make it a point to correct that. Also, conversations with your guests can reveal a secret code. Make sure you read what they have to say.
• Just like in a real zoo (I’m assuming here, I don’t work in a zoo), the more animals you have the bigger the draw. Get your animals in and make sure to build a path near them.
• Souvenirs and snacks are where zoos and amusement parks really clean up (again, I have nothing to base this on, I still don’t work at a zoo) make sure to build souvenir shops and food stands. The extra income will be great. To speed the game along, you need to make money somewhere other than the match game.
• Click the mouse and hold it to speed through animations and menus after playing the match game.
• Everybody loves upgrades. Make sure when you are building your zoo, you keep up with your upgrades. Once you upgrade your gates, you’ll get more grounds and as a result, more guests and more money.
