Opening Story:

In Calavera Day of the Dead, Alan has just proposed to his beloved and she's said yes! Now you just have to travel to Mexico to receive her father's blessing before you can have your happily ever after. But, fate has another plan in store for the happy couple. Arriving in town, Catalina passes out, and while Alan desperately searches for water to revive her, she is whisked away by a figure in a skeleton outfit. Now it's up to Alan and his new friend Guide to follow her to the land of the dead and rescue her before she becomes a permanent resident.

General Tips for Calavera Day of the Dead

Difficulty - Three modes: Casual, Advanced, and Hard. In Casual Mode, sparkles will indicate active areas, there are no penalties for misclicks, and you have access to the hint and skip buttons. In Advanced Mode, there are no sparkles in active areas, there are penalties for mis-clicks and you will have access to the hint and skip buttons. In Hard Mode, there are no sparkles, no hint and skip buttons, and there are penalties for misclicks.

Hand - When your cursor turns into a hand, it means you can pick up an object or interact with it in some way.

Magnifying Glass - When your cursor turns into a magnifying glass, it means you can zoom in and take a closer look on an area or you can talk with a character.

Guide-  Guide can be found in the lower left hand corner of your screen. Game notes and observations that you make throughout the adventure can be found here as well as access to your achievements and skulls.

Inventory -  Your inventory can be found at the bottom of your screen. Click the padlock to toggle locking it in place.

Hints -  The hint button is found in the lower left-hand corner of your screen under Guide. Click here if you're stuck. Just remember, the button takes time to charge before you can use it again.

Menu -  The menu button is located at the bottom right-hand corner of your screen.

Hidden Object Scenes - Hidden object scenes will sparkle. Items in red will require an extra step in order to find them.

Navigation Arrow - When your cursor turns into an arrow, it means you can move in that direction.

Mini-games - During mini-games, if you can't figure out the puzzle or don't feel like trying to solve it, you can click the skip button that's under Guide to skip the puzzle and move on as soon as it charges.

Map - The map is located in the bottom left of your screen. Click an area to fast travel to a location.

Sugar Skulls - There are 26 sugar skulls for you to find and collect throughout the game.
