Why is it that whenever there is something going on in this house… I get blamed for it… Whatever is in the fridge is NOT MINE! Do you think I would really let something sit in the fridge that long and get gross? Me? I never have leftovers… I eat other people’s leftovers! Whatever it is, it’s not mine, and I’m not dealing with it! Most likely one of the girls has left some sort of sushi or burrito in there, and it’s growing mushrooms right now… and they need to clean that up before it becomes a biohazard!
Uggg. Anyhow… Jasper thinks he’s so smart hiding in his room… well two can play at that game… I decided to do a guide as well, and I figured I would give the Agency of Anomalies: Cinderstone Orphanage another try.
If you remember from my review, I had a hard time with the cursor and overall play style. Well, I did discover since then that something was wrong with my video card and it might have had something to do with it. I also learned that I can get rid of the custom cursor that was driving me crazy… and once I did that, I found the game much more enjoyable. It’s the little things sometimes that grate, you know?
So, a quick recap… a ghost lady calls the Agency of Anomalies for help, and you get assigned the case to help the special x-men-like kids at the Cinderstone Orphanage. Each of the kids has some sort of special ability, like the ability to move things around or fix broken items. As you progress through the game and help each kid, they will give you their powers. So by the end, you have all these superpowers… which, I admit, is pretty cool.
The hidden object scenes were ok… not super challenging because they repeated a lot of scenes so you kind of knew where everything was after a bit. The cool scenes were the ones where you got to actually put objects back into the scene where they belonged. I liked those much better.
Anyhow, overall, I’m glad I gave Agency of Anomalies: Cinderstone Orphanage another try. It was a great game with a unique storyline that I could get into… not to mention I had a good excuse to stay in my room and NOT CLEAN THE MESS THAT ISN’T MINE!!!
