Hey gamers! Sorry for the delay. The guide I'm bringing you this month is...Joan Jade and the Gates of Xibalba! You might remember awhile back we had an interview with the creators of this game. Well, it's a great game! I loved the graphics, the cut scenes had some depth that's hard to describe, like 3D, but not. The storyline was great, the puzzles were great, the mini-games were great, it was just GREAT! I highly recommend this game to hidden object and adventure game lovers.
I have been so busy with college it's not even funny. I've had papers, essays, more papers, tests, thinking about finals. Not to mention the new developments with my roommate. One Friday night I invited over two of my friends. She was supposed to be hanging out with her equally goth-like boyfriend. Well, at the last minute I noticed, she's still there. I said, hey, don't you have a date. She says, no, we broke up. So I think to myself, great... this is going to be a fun evening. So my friends arrive and they were like, she is here? We get out the board game Harry Potter Clue. Next thing I know, my roommate wants to join us. I find out she loves Harry Potter, quite the Snape and Draco lover, and she likes board games. Who woulda thought? During the board game she opened up more and was quite fun to be around. I suggested after a few games, we have some drinks, don't worry they were virgin piƱa coladas and the next thing I know she's rummaging through her bag. She pulls out what looks like alcohol and I proceed to start yelling at her, you can't have that on campus! Well, it wasn't alcohol, silly me, it was a drink mix for virgin martini's her brother gave her as a gift. So we mixed those up and popped in a movie. We ended up having a Harry Potter movie marathon until dawn when we all fell asleep.
Since then, things have been great. Between me and my friends we've even gotten her to wear a little color! We had to start slowly, you know, pink lipstick, not black. Maybe some brown eyeshadow. A black tee shirt with just a hint of a red design. Either way, I'm happy to report I've made a new friend and she is no longer driving me crazy. I was even able to remove the duct tape down the middle of the room.
Well, I just noticed the time. I need to stop babbling away here on my blog and get back to homework. Keep an eye out in the coming month for the guide to Dark Parables: The Curse of Briar Rose. Cya!
